Today’s card uses the chalkboard technique that I’ve seen used a lot over the last few months. To do this I embossed the sentiment, from My Favorite Thing’s Seasonal Sentiments set, with white embossing powder, and then stamped the same sentiment offset just a bit in white ink. I also inked the edges with white ink and smeared a little bit of white ink around the sentiment. The candy cane paper is from Hobby Lobby.
I really like this technique and plan to do some more cards using it.
Thanks for stopping by, I’ll be back tomorrow for Day 3!
This post is part of the 31 Days in October link up sponsored by nesting place. For 31 straight days, hundreds of bloggers will come together to write about a topic of their choice.
My sister is doing a series on Classical Education.
Check it out too!
Each day (hopefully) I’ll visit a some of the other bloggers and link up to some that I find interesting!
This will be interesting, pretty sure I’m at level 0.
I love to read, but I normally don’t read a lot of non-fiction. Think I will try some of these suggestions.
