I’m Back!

Ok, so I never really went anywhere, I’ve just been ignoring my blog for the last six months. I’ve made some new goals for this year though.

  • Blog More – goal is to post at least 4 times a month
  • Enter more challenges – I already have completed two that I hope to post this weekend
  • Craft more – in addition to creating cards, I’m teaching myself how to sew

With all that being said, here is one of my favorite cards that I made in 2012.

FriendsCome back tomorrow for my challenge cards I made!

Hexagons

Hexagons seems to be the latest craze in the crafting world lately. I’m usually not one to jump on the latest thing, but I really like the look of hexagons. A couple of months ago I purchased the hexagon dies from Lifestyle Crafts. Here are a few cards I’ve created with the dies.

First up is a graduation card a friend asked me to make for her sister. The school colors are navy and light blue and her sister was on the soccer team.

In this card, I cut out hexagons from patterned paper in the Summer’s End pad by Fancy Pants.

I created a row of hexagons on this card using paper from On the Sunny Side collection from My Mind’s Eye.

Last up is a set of four mini hexagon cards with matching envelopes. The paper is from the Linen Closest collection by DCWV.

March 2012 Papertrey Ink Blog Hop

I’m playing along with Papertrey Ink’s blog hop this month. Below is the inspiration picture this month. This challenge was pretty easy for me because this is one of my favorite color combinations.

I used patterned paper from October Afternoon’s Fly a Kite collection. All other products are from Papertrey Ink: Kraft, Aqua Mist, and Summer Sunrise cardstock; Kraft ink; Fillable Frame #6 and Limitless Layers 1 3/4 dies; and 2011 Birthday Tags stamp set.

Craft Day at Mom’s House

A couple of weeks ago, my mom and I had a craft day. Here are the cards I made.

The first card is a Birthday using Cricut’s Create a Critter cartridge The frame is from Papertrey Ink. The background paper is from Jillibean Soup’s Spotted Owl pack.

Happy Birthday

The next card is a simple thank you card. I embossed the card using the Swiss Dots folder. The thank you stamp is from Papertrey Ink.

Thank You

This last card is my favorite of the three. I hand cut some rolling hills. The tree and sentiment is from Papertrey’s ink Through the Trees set.

Happy Valentine’s Day

A quick update today with a Valentine’s day card. I used the Fancy Flourishes stamp set and Beautiful Blooms II die #1 from Papertrey Ink. After cutting the flowers, I spritzed them with Glimmer Mist and added the brad.

Happy Valentine's Day

Valentine’s Day Card – Papertrey Ink Day 7

Day 7

Today is day 7 of Papertrey Ink’s anniversary countdown and I was able to play along. Today’s challenge is to create a project that incorporates hearts into it’s design. They can be stamped hearts, die-cut hearts, felt hearts, glittered hearts, a heart border, or even hear shaped card base.

Here is my card, I used Papertrey Ink’s Simple Circle Border die, pure poppy card stock, and vintage cream card stock.

Happy Valentine's Day

My Friend – Papertrey Ink Anniversary

This month my favorite stamp company, Papertrey Ink, is celebrating their 5th anniversary. Over the next ten days they will be announcing what’s coming up in the new year, giving sneak peeks of the new products this month, and having several giveaways!

Today’s challenge is to pick one of the team members favorite projects and use as inspiration for our own creation. I chose the project from Maile Belles. All of her clean and simple creations inspire me. Here is Maile’s card:

Here is what I created.

My Friend

Happy Anniversary to Papertrey Ink and a big thank you to the entire design team for their endless inspiration.
