Day 18 – Simple

This card may have been the quickest and easiest card I’ve ever made. The pattern paper really does all the work on it’s own. The paper is from is from Fancy Pants Saint Nick collection. I added a sentiment in red ink from Papertrey Ink’s Signature Christmas set. I added three red jewels, put it on a cream card base, and voila a quick and easy card!

I thought I would take a break from my 31 days of Christmas cards to show some of the Halloween cards I’ve made this year. I love making Halloween cards and mini cards. Here are a few that I made.

Day 17 – Red and Black

Whoops, a little late on today’s card! This is a simple card I made after Christmas last year, I was trying to get an early start for this years cards. The red stripe background paper is from Hobby Lobby. I used two stamp sets for this card, both from Papertrey Ink. The sentiment is from Stylish Sentiments: Holiday and the peppermint border is from Background Basics: Christmas. I also used the Spiral Notebook Page die from Papertrey Ink – one of my favorite dies.

Day 16 – Penguins

Officially half way thru the 31 days of blogging! Today’s card features penguins, who doesn’t love penguins? The penguins and igloo are from Lawn Fawn’s Critters in the Snow set. I colored the penguins with prismacolor pencils and the igloo was colored with the one Copic marker that I own. The sentiment is from one of my favorite holiday sentiment sets, Papertrey Ink’s Stylish Sentiments: Holiday.

Day 15 – Merry Christmas Banner

Lots of fussy cutting on today’s card. I used two stamp sets from Lawn Fawn – the banner is from Bannerific and the sentiment, fire place, and stockings is from Cozy Christmas (which is one of my favorite holiday stamp sets!) The polka-dot background paper, ribbon, and bling is from Hobby Lobby.

Day 14 – Merry Christmas Washi

I have a simple card today and takes no time at all to make. The green snowflake paper is from The Paper Studio (Hobby Lobby) and I used My Favorite Things Washi dies and stamps for the sentiment strips. I left the ends of my “washi” tape up to give it a little dimension.

Day 13 – Reindeers

Today’s card uses some really cute patterned paper from Hobby Lobby. I gave this card to one of my best friends last year, she loves this reindeer! The stamped reindeer is from Papertrey Ink’s Holiday Sparkle set. I added some bling for the eyes and nose. The sentiment is also from Papertrey Ink, the Tiny Treats: Christmas set.

Day 12 – Noel

This card is one that I made about 3 years ago. I really like the way this came together. The chipboard letters really make the card what it is, so I kept the rest simple. I added some light brown ink to the edges of the card and tied a thin ribbon between the letters.

Day 10 – Ho Ho Ho!

Fun card today! It’s a pink Ho, Ho, Ho card with a Santa belt. I added some bling to the upper right corner and used glitter silver paper for the belt buckle. The pink pattern paper is from Hobby Lobby.
