10 Cards 1 Kit – February 2017 Love From Lizi Card Kit

I’m back again, guest designing for Love From Lizi.  Here are my 10 cards from the February card kit.  This kit is sold out, but you can sign up for a subscription to her kits so that you won’t miss another one!

There is so much product in these kits, I can’t get over it.  I’ll show all the leftovers that I have at the end of this post.  I could easily make 10 more cards.

Card 1:  I sponged distress ink in Spun Sugar, Cracked Pistachio, and Evergreen Bough to a piece of white card stock that I die cut with a stitched rounded square.  I stamped and heat embossed the bird stamp onto the die cut.  I also heat embossed the sentiment and added a silver peel off and piece of glittered purple card stock on the bottom.  All supplies from the kit except distress inks, die, white card stock, and the silver peel off.Card 2:  This card showcases one of the beautiful pattern papers in the kit.  I heat embossed the sentiment on a kraft tag and used foam tape to add to a tag I cut from the glitter purple paper.  I used Nuvo drops and enamel dots on a few of the flowers.  All supplies from kit except the green ribbon.Card 3:  I used a scallop die on some purple card stock and popped it up using foam tape on the butterfly paper from the kit.  I cut a thin strip from the silver card stock and glued it next to the patterned paper.  For the wood butterfly, I smooshed (technical term!) it into the ink then covered it in clear embossing powder and melted it with my heat gun.  The sentiment was heat embossed with silver embossing powder.  All supplies from kit except purple card stock, scallop die, and embossing powders.Card 4:  This is a simple card that uses the gorgeous papers from the kit.  I offset the two pieces of pattern paper with a strip of pink card stock and one of the branch peel offs.  I heat embossed the sentiment in silver on the banner and used some Nuvo glitter drops in silver moondust.  All supplies from the kit except pink card stock, sentiment stamp, silver embossing powder, and Nuvo drops.Card 5:  This is my favorite from the 10 that I made.  I die cut the two keys from the kit twice from the silver card stock and adhered them onto the pattern paper.  I adhered a thin strip of the silver card stock to offset the two pattern paper pieces.  I heat embossed the sentiment in silver and glued one of the hearts that was from the key die.  All supplies from the kit except the silver embossing powder.Card 6:  This is a shaker card featuring the beautiful peacock paper.  I cut a window using a circle die, then cut a circle frame from the purple glitter paper.  I filled the shaker part of the card with sequins from the kit.  I heat embossed the sentiment using the purple ink from the kit and clear embossing powder onto a cream banner strip.  I glued the cream banner to a piece of the purple glitter paper.  All supplies from kit except circle and banner dies, sentiment stamp, clear embossing powder, and cream card stockCard 7:  I colored the bird stamp using my Prisma colored pencils and cut it our using a scalloped rectangular die.  I added some Nuvo drops to the center of some of the flowers.  I used foam tape to pop it up on the kraft card stock.  I heat embossed the sentiment using purple ink and clear embossing powder.  All supplies from the kit except colored pencils, scallop die, sentiment, and clear embossing powder.Card 8:  I colored the three rose wood pieces with Spectrum Noir markers and glued them to the kraft card.  I used a strip of the glitter purple paper and the silver card stock on the sides of the card.  All supplies from the kit except the markers.Card 9:  I cut two pieces of the shiny flower pattern paper and glued it to the top and bottom of the card.  I used the silver branch peel off on the edges of the pattern paper.  I used the purple glitter circle cut from the frame from card 6.  Heat embossed the sentiment in silver on a white die cut piece and added some enamel dots.  All supplies from the kit except sentiment, circle dies, white card stock, and silver embossing powder.Card 10:  I love this deer pattern paper.  It took me 9 cards before I could cut into it!  I layered the deer tag on a piece of kraft card stock and popped it up on the card panel using foam tape.  The card panel uses two papers from the kit separated by a thin strip of the silver card stock.  I heat embossed the sentiment with silver embossing powder.  All supplies from kit except kraft card stock, sentiment, ribbon, and embossing powder. Here are the leftovers from the kit after creating these 10 cards.

Ink, Nuvo drops, ribbon and washi tape (didn’t use either on these cards), wooden embellishments, sequins, enamel dots, stamp set (not pictured) and lots of silver branch peel offs. Papers – 3 full sheets, several half sheets, and some smaller pieces.  Over half the sheet of silver card stock and a good size piece of the purple glitter paper. Also, 6 tags were left over. You can check out several other creations from this kit on the Love from Lizi Facebook group and the Love from Lizi YouTube channel.

Card 1:  When I saw this piece of patterned paper, I immediately had the idea to cut it in strips and pop them up. I die cut a piece of cream paper from my stash.  The copper stickers on the edges of the banner are not from the kit, but is available in Lizi’s shop. All other supplies are from the kit.Card 2:  I stamped the wreath image with Natural pigment ink, heat embossed with clear powder, and colored it with Spectrum Noir markers.  I also inked and embossed the wooden heart.  I used Nuvo Crystal Drops in Antique Rose on the center of the flowers.  All supplies from the kit except solid cream and pink card stock  and clear embossing powder.Card 3:  I stamped and heat embossed the owl image from the kit three times on cream card stock.  I lined the cream card stock with copper stickers.  The sentiment is from a copper sticker sheet included in the kit.  All supplies are from the kit except cream card stock and copper line stickers.Card 4:  I used a doily as as mask to apply ink and heat emboss on the tag.  I punched out a the sentiment tag from one of the patterned paper.  All supplies for this card is from the kit except the dies used.Card 5:  I used one of the heart dies from the kit to die cut into a piece of patterned paper four times.  I put a piece of acetate on the back and then glued the die cut hearts back into the paper to make a shaker card.  All supplies are from the kit except the copper strip peel off on the left side of the card and the small hearts used as the shaker elements.Card 6:  This card uses a simple layout that lets the beautiful patterned paper shine.  The oval tag  was cut out from one of the pieces of patterned paper.  I also used a die from the kit to cut out the copper hearts.  All supplies from the kit except the birthday sentiment and copper embossing powder used on the sentiment.Card 7:  Another clean and simple card that showcases the kits patterned paper.  The heart was cut out from one of the pieces of patterned paper.  All supplies from this card are from the kit.Card 8:  This is my first time using burlap on a card, and I like the way it turned out.  I die cut several banners and clumped them together on top of the burlap using some foam tape.  I also used my crop-a-dile to add a copper eyelet on the larger banner.  All supplies are from the kit except the dies used and the copper eyelet.Card 9:  I used another heart die (kit came with 5 heart dies!) and cut it three times from the piece of copper paper in the kit.  I glued these to a piece of vellum that is backed by a piece of patterned paper.  All supplies for this card are from the kit.Card 10:  For this card, I went with a completely different color scheme from the kit.  I stamped the wreath several times and then colored with Spectrum Noir markers.  All supplies from the kit except the sentiment and embossing powder used on the sentiment. Thanks for stopping by.  Let me know which one is your favorite!

Love From Lizi – February 2017 Card Kit

Hi everyone, it’s been awhile…

I’m guest designing for Love from Lizi.  I found Lizi on YouTube several months ago.  I loved the pin stripe peel off stickers she was using.  She opened a shop and started selling them.  In November, she began selling kits.  She now has subscriptions to these kits.

Below are a couple of peeks at the February kit which is on sale now.  This is my second kit (I’ll be sharing pics of the January at a later date.)  The amount of product in these kits is amazing.

I’ll be posting some cards from this kit later this week!

OWH Sketch Challenge 245

So it’s been awhile!  I’m going to try to do more blogging and sharing in the coming year, we’ll see how that goes…

I’ve been using more sketches lately to help me use up some of patterned paper.  I have way too much – if that is even possible!

I received my Simon Says Stamp January Card kit today, and I’m in love with the colors of this kit – purple, turquoise, navy blue, and white.  I combined some items from the kit and used the OWH Sketch Challenge #245.  The kit came with some purple perfect pearls which I used on the sentiment.  The picture doesn’t do it justice, it is very sparkly and shiny on the card!

Winter ThanksHere is the sketch I used:

Day 31 – Best for last?

I did it – 31 days straight of blogging!  Now that I know I can blog everyday, I’m going to scale back and focus on quality of my posts.

I’ve saved my favorite card I made this year for last.  I love the smiley lights (from Lawn Fawn) and the glittery paper.

Day 31 - carenwithac.comThanks to everyone who has viewed/commented on my series.  Hope to have some more great Christmas cards before Christmas gets here.
