Only one more day until the new Spring 2023 Release from Poshta Design! There are so many cute dies and 3 new color stories being released this Saturday, March 4th at Noon ET.

Today is a peek at the Basic Butterfly die, Lacewing Butterfly Detail die, and Botanical Butterfly Detail die. Again, I used felt – Coral Reef and Agave – and thread from the Misty Morning color story.

I mixed two of the Details die for my butterfly. The top portion of the butterfly uses the Botanical Butterfly details die which includes small leaves and flowers (not shown.) The bottom portion of the butterfly uses the Lacewing Butterfly details die. I love all the little cut outs of these dies.

Also, with the release is the Petite Butterfly die. These would create a great little garland by mixing the petite butterflies with the Basic and Detail butterfly dies.

Basic Butterfly Die

Butterflies are so beautiful and delicate. They are harbingers of spring and often symbolize growth and new beginnings. Please note: This die coordinates with the Monarch Butterfly Details Die, the Lacewing Butterfly Details Die, and the Botanical Butterfly Details Die. This die does not cut the interior details, just the solid butterfly shape.

Measurement reference: The fully assembled butterfly measures 4” wide by 3” tall.

Lacewing Butterfly Details Die

The Lacewing Butterfly Details Die cuts the wing design that transforms the Basic Butterfly into a whimsical fritillary. The dots and teardrops create wonderful opportunities for embellishment or inlay. These dies feature shaped backing plates that make it a snap to see how you need to line up your dies for hassle-free creative time.

Botanical Butterfly Details Die

The Botanical Butterfly Details Die creates an embroidered vine pattern on the wings of the Basic Butterfly. The included leaves and flowers bring extra texture and softness to the design while also providing excellent opportunities for embellishment. These dies feature shaped backing plates that make it a snap to see how you need to line up your dies for hassle-free creative time.

Measurement reference: The base plates of the large wings measure about 1?” wide by 2” tall. The base plates of the small wings measure 1?” wide by just under 1¼” tall. The leaf measures ?” wide by ?” long. The flower measures about ?” across.

Petite Butterfly Die

Sometimes a project calls for a smaller, daintier focal point. The Petite Butterfly Die shines in those moments. This die is a pint-size version of our Basic Butterfly and includes options that will allow your butterfly to be fully secured or fluttering off of your creations while being fastened only at the body. You’ll be amazed at the variety you can achieve with this lovely little butterfly!

Measurement reference: The butterfly measures 2” wide by 1½” tall. With the embroidered antennae the butterfly measures 2” wide by 1¾” tall.
