My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge #353

I loved the sketch for the My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge this week.  I made two cards for this sketch.

For the first card, I used an old set from My Favorite Things called Let’s Grab Drinks.  I paper-pieced the main image with paper from My Mind’s Eye. I used my Spectrum Noir markers to color the parts of the image I didn’t paper-piece.

MFTWSC_353_1The second card is a Christmas card.  For this card I used the Santa’s Elf stamp set.  I colored the elf with Prismacolor pencils.  The patterned paper is from Doodlebug Design.

Merry Christmas Challenge #37

I’m back again this week for the Merry Christmas Challenge.  This week I have four quick and easy Christmas cards.

For these cards I used Reflections Christmas Collection kit from Echo Park.  Using a kit is a great way to make quick cards with coordinating paper.

MCC_37_2017For the first card, I used one of the 3×4 cards that was in the kit.  I matted it on some red cardstock.  I cut a strip of the red and cream striped pattern paper and glued it to the cardstock.  I used some foam tape to put the 3×4 piece on the card.  I added 3 drops of Nuvo drops on the left side.MCC_37_2017_1 One the second card, I cut a circle out of the holly berry paper. I popped that up on the card base with some foam tape.  I die cut another circle out of green card stock and glued it to the inside of the pattern paper.  I used my powder tool on the back of the poinsettia sticker to remove the sticky.  I then popped it up using some foam tape.  I cut out a banner in the green cardstock and heat embossed the sentiment. MCC_37_2017_2For the third card, I used one of the border strips from the kit for the sentiment.  I added a strip of the green paper that I used a scalloped stitched die on.  I covered the card base with striped pattern paper from the kit, then popped up the sentiment strip using some foam tape.  MCC_37_2017_3For  the fourth card, I matted the Santa paper from the kit onto some red cardstock and glued that to the card base.  I die cut a stitched circle from red cardstock and popped up the Santa Claus sticker on it using some foam tape.MCC_37_2017_4Check out the rest of the teams creations on The Merry Christmas Challenge blog and join in on the fun.

Merry Christmas Challenge #35

I’ve joined the design team for The Merry Christmas Challenge blog.  I’m on the Tinsel Team and will be posting a Christmas card every other week.  This week’s challenge is anything goes + Christmas.

I punched out 1 1/4 inch squares from American Crafts Deck the Halls paper pad.  I stamped the Let’s be Merry sentiment from Paper Smooches Christmas Sampler stamp set on to a My Favorite Things stitched sentiment die.Check out the rest of the teams creations and join in on the fun.

Ghostly Greetings

I love making Halloween cards (almost as much as Christmas cards!)  I think it’s the bright orange, green, and purple colors that draw me in.

For this card, I used the Fab-BOO-lous Friends stamp set from My Favorite Things.  I colored the cute images with Spectrum Noir markers, and embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder.  I used my Twisted Citron Distress Oxide ink with some translucent texture paste.

3×3 Card Set

I love giving out 3×3 sets of cards as little gifts.  I try to have a few sets made up and ready to go at a moments notice.  I also tend to make these when I’m in a creative rut!

For this set, I pulled out a couple of older stamp sets that I haven’t used in awhile –   Big Wish from Verve and Funky Foliage from WPlus 9.

Here is the set I made, I kept them very simple.

Love From Lizi – March Blog Hop

Hi, welcome to the Love From Lizi March Blog Hop.  Our theme this month is Welcome Spring!

I used the sequins from Love From Lizi’s February card kit as my color inspiration.  The stamp is from Love from Lizi’s January kit.  I colored it with Spectrum Noir markers.  I cut out the center of the stamp to create a shaker card.

Be sure to check out all the blogs participating.  Leave a comment for each blog to win a great giveaway from the Love From Lizi shop.

My Peeps – Easter Cards

Welcome back, I’m trying my best to keep the blogging up!

I pulled out a cute stamp set and die from last year’s March Simon Says Card Kit.  This may be my favorite kit from the past 3 years.  The patterned paper is from Doodlebug that I had in my stash.

I used the die cut the bunny using the largest peep die.  I then used Faber-Castell Glass Bead Glitter Gel on the die cut.My second card also uses the largest peep die and the cute little bow.  The third card uses the medium peep die along with the coordinating stamp. My fourth card has a slight flaw – or I’m starting a new trend of bottom fold cards!  This one uses the smallest peep die. Thanks for stopping by – come back on March 1st for the Love From Lizi March Blog Hop with a giveaway from Lizi’s shop.  Here’s a little sneak peek.
