Merry Christmas Challenge #14 -2018

Hope everyone had a good Easter.  This week for the  Merry Christmas Challenge is anything goes with an optional theme of old fashion.  This  isn’t a style that I’m comfortable with, but I wanted to give it a try!

I used a piece of patterned paper from the Echo Park Reflections Christmas collection that I thought looked ‘old fashioned’.

I distressed the edges of the patterned paper then swiped the edges with some brown ink.  I stamped and embossed the sentiment with Zing Chestnut embossing powder.  The sentiment is from Paper Smooches A Blessed Christmas set.  I adhered it to a cream card base to finish the card.

Merry Christmas Challenge #12 – 2018

Hi everyone, time for another Merry Christmas Challenge.  This week is anything goes with an optional theme of ugly sweaters.

I used Distress Oxide ink and the Plaid Background stamp from Concord and 9th for the background panel.  The sweater and sentiment is from Simon Says Stamps Ugly Sweater and Sweater Words.

I colored the sweater with Zig watercolor brush markers and then added a few sequins around the sweater to finish up the card.

Winnie & Walter – Welcome to the Family Rerun

So excited to be joining Winnie & Walter’s Rerun of Welcome to the Family with Evelin T Designs.  This stamp set was previously released and the rerun is to bring new inspiration to this amazing stamp set.

Last weekend, I went to a craft retreat where I met Shay from Winnie & Walter.  She is amazing, and I was honored to be asked to join the rerun.

Here is the card I created at the retreat using Welcome to the Family.  I stamped five of the images from the set with some masking.  I then water colored the images using Distress Inks.  Love these little animals!

I then die cut the cuddles word die  from Winnie & Walter three times and adhered them to the card.

Check out the rest of the inspiration on the Winnie & Walter blog.  There is a challenge that is going on this month, a discount on this stamp set, and a chance to win the stamp set! Thanks for stopping by!

Merry Christmas Challenge #10 – 2018

Hi everyone, time for another Merry Christmas Challenge.  This week is anything goes with an optional theme of tropical.

I wasn’t sure if I had any tropical Christmas stamps, but I found these flamingos.  Flamingos can be considered tropical, right?
I inked up the background with some pink distress inks and spritzed it with some shimmer spray.  All the stamped images are from Newton Nook’s Festive Flamingos.  I water colored the flamingos with distress inks.  I thought the card needed one more thing so I tied some pink and white twine at the top of the card.

Merry Christmas Challenge #8 – 2018

I’m back again for another Merry Christmas Challenge.  This week is anything goes with an optional theme of Elves.

I bought this cute elves stamp and dies from Avery Elle right before Christmas.  This is the first time I’ve had the chance to use it.

I stamped the images on Bristol Smooth paper with VersaFine Onyx Black ink.  I then water colored the images with Distress inks and cut them out with the coordinating dies.  The sentiment, from the same set, is embossed using Versamark Ink and black embossing powder.

Kat Scrappiness February Challenge

Kat Scrappiness has a challenge going on at her blog for the month of February.  This month Hannah has a mood board for inspiration to create a card.

I love the soft pink colors.  The cotton candy looked like a big fluffy cloud to me, so I created some pink puffy clouds on my card using Distress Oxide ink for the challenge.

Head over to the Kat Scrappiness blog and join in on the challenge for a chance to win a $25 gift card to the store.
